Fr. Mac Culver

The Rev. Fr. Mac Culver was ordained into the priesthood of the one holy catholic and apostolic church (Anglican) on June 16, 1997.  He has degrees from Ft. Worth Christian College, Abilene Christian University and has graduate degrees in education and psychology. He is an Air Force veteran, and he has extensive Air Force training including Command Officers and Staff College and the Air University. He still serves as a senior Chaplain in the Air Force Auxiliary and having also served as active duty enlisted as well as a senior command officer.

In his early years, he served as minister of Churches of Christ in Kansas, Virginia, Alaska and California. He was ordained an Elder in the Church of the Nazarene in Pasadena, California in the early 1980’s and transferred credentials to the Assembly of God while in Alaska. An avid student of Church history, the Lord continued to lead Fr. Culver back to the historic roots of Christianity which culminated in his ordination to the Anglican priesthood in 1996 and Canon Missioner in 2002.

In volunteer capacities, he has served as a Red Cross Instructor, Instructor Trainer, a United Way Campaign Chairman and President, as a Police Chaplain in Virginia and as a paramedic for the Fire Department in Virginia. He served several years as a professional United Way Executive Director in California prior to the return to ministry. He has numerous military and civic awards including listing in Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in Education.

Along the way, he has been on the Regional Council with the Association of Christian Schools International and 10 years as Chairman of the Northwest Region Accreditation Commission. He currently serves as Northwest Director for the Association of Christian Teachers and Schools.

He was the founding rector of an Anglican parish in Kent, Washington and one in Woodinville, Washington in addition to serving as the Assistant Superintendent of Cedar Park Christian Schools for more than 13 years. Prior to that, he conceptualized and formed Rainier Christian Schools in Kent, Washington. In both Alaska and California, he also began Christian Schools and served as chief administrator.

Fr. Culver is currently pastor of the new formation group at Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church in Kennewick, Washington.
